Mad World (Epilogue)

By: Mytay

Rating: PG-13

Pairings/Characters: Hints of pre-Kurt/Blaine. Kurt, Burt, the whole Glee club, Blaine, and others.

Word Count: For this final chapter, 6,432.

Warnings: None.

Spoilers: None.

Disclaimer: I do not own, nor claim to own, anything Glee related. Nor do I own the song whose title and bits of its lyrics I am borrowing for the title of this fic and its chapters (Mad World, originally sung by Tears for Fears, though I prefer the Gary Jules version).

Summary: Kurt is tired and hurting. When his dad finds out why . . . Burt gets angry. Very angry. In the meantime, a few people are waking up to reality and Kurt is not as alone as he thinks. AU after season 2, episode 6, Never Been Kissed. Also on here.

Notes: Previous parts under cut. This is the end, and it's taken an embarrassingly long time for me to get here, but I appreciate every single one of you that has helped me finish this, even if you no longer remember this story :)

"Zero tolerance doesn't mean that nothing happens – just that there are greater consequences when something does. Dalton doesn't have a history of violence to work up from. It hasn't been perfect, but it's been better. I feel safe. I won't have that at McKinley, no matter how much it improves."

Title: Hookup, Line, and Sinker
Author(s): watchforwalkers & coincidental_penalties
Rating: NC-17
Genre: Fluff/Romance
Warnings: none
Spoilers: Through season 4
Word Count: 50,000
Summary: Finn and Kurt make a pact to keep each other from hooking up with their exes during Will and Emma's (failed) wedding. Of course, the pact didn't specify hooking up with each other instead, but why question a good thing when it happens? Sure, most hookups aren’t planned weeks in advance. Most hookups don’t last an entire spring break or three months of summer, either, but a hookup’s just a hookup, right?

Title: Hearth & Home
Characters: Kurt/Blaine
Rating: PG
Word Count: 1,000
Episodes: Through 5.06, "Movin’ Out"
Summary: A follow-up to Blaine’s conversation with Kurt about his fears over getting into NYADA. Thanks punkkitten2113 for betaing!

Night is so different here from what it is in Lima: brighter and more alive. Light from the pale streetlights and the red “Automat” sign on top of the building across the way filter through the curtains and onto Kurt’s bed and onto their bodies. Blaine looks down at his own arm, watches the light shift over his skin, making it glow soft whites and oranges like a hearth fire.

It’s not just the lights and sounds of the city that make it more vibrant, of course. Lima has felt this way sometimes, too, when Blaine’s been wrapped in Kurt’s arms the way he is now: skin against skin, warmth stoking warmth. Blaine is home now.

Title: Bring Us Back
Characters: Kurt/Blaine, Tina
Rating: PG
Word Count: ~2,100
Spoilers: Through 5.3, "The Quarterback"
Warnings: references to canon bullying in 5.02 "Tina in the Sky With Diamonds"; also to Finn's death, but that's not what the story focuses on
Summary: juliette06 asked for “Blaine calling Kurt and telling him about Tina/reminiscing about their prom/etc.” rosencarousel asked for Kurt and Tina having a conversation to discuss McKinley’s prom court treatment. It turned into a story about repairing relationships.

Kurt doesn’t call Blaine until well after midnight. Prom is one of Blaine’s last hurrahs with all his New Directions friends, and Kurt doesn’t want to interrupt it. Besides, putting off the phone call gives him a good chunk of time to finish his homework before he starts at the Starlight Diner tomorrow.

The clock on his phone flashes “1:32 a.m.” when Kurt finally wakes it from sleep. He wonders if Blaine is home alone by now.

“You won’t believe what happened tonight,” Blaine says when he answers the phone.

Kurt bounces on the bed. “You got prom king?! Congratulations!”

There’s a long pause before Blaine speaks. “Um, not exactly.”

I come with a question/request. I am a fic writer myself and I have found role playing as a great way to fill the hiatus void as well as test out my dialogue/story ideas.

If you enjoy Glee, fan fiction and/or role playing, I hope you will check out slushees.

Title: The Contract
Author: Wowbright
Rating: PG-13
Characters/Pairing: Blaine/Kurt (Blaine POV)
Word Count: 2,100
Summary: The afternoon that Kurt agrees to be his boyfriend again, Blaine writes up a no-cheating contract. 5.01 reaction fic. Thanks to Jamie for the quick beta! PG-13. ~2,100

It turns out that Oprah’s website does not actually have a no-cheating contract.

Blaine is disappointed, but not defeated. He’s determined to prove himself, and if Oprah hasn’t already written the contract for him – well, he can write it himself. After all, it’s not like it needs to say much. Just, “I, Blaine Anderson, love Kurt Hummel and will never cheat on him again.”

So he opens up a blank document on his desktop, types the sentence, and sends the file to the printer. Thirty seconds later, it’s staring back at him in black and white.
